Pikes are the best weapons which deal piercing damage. They do very little damage compared to other two-handed weapons (even less than 1-handed axes), but piercing damage is very useful during fighting challenges. Keep in mind, that due to the nature of piercing damage, the actual damage inflicted by pikes is 25-50% higher than basic stats (depending on number of rounds in combat). One or two fighters with high strength attributes armed with pikes are usually enough for a war party.
The best pike is made of ancient wood and dragon bone.
Unlocking pikes crafting requires 2 advancement points and unlocked staves crafting.
